Dear Families,

Welcome to Lorain Bilingual Academy—Home of the Coquis! LBA is a small, K-8 learning community with high expectations for student academics and behavior.  Our staff embraces students, families, and community to develop well-rounded individuals who are independent, critical thinkers and intrinsically motivated to be life-long learners.

We opened our doors in 2018 as the first bilingual school in Lorain, and we continue to be the only bilingual school in the area. All of our students participate in one hour of Spanish instruction daily, as well as in celebrations of Latino culture throughout the year. Additionally, we are proud to support English Language Learners with five times the support they would typically receive at surrounding schools.

We are committed to providing a quality education for all students in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. We encourage parents and guardians to communicate regularly with teachers and to be involved in our school community. We believe that all children can learn and we seek to make a difference in the lives of our students!

Sincerely,
Mr. Jay Saez, Head of School
