LBA Announces New School Safety Measures
Lorain Bilingual Academy opened the new school year with new school safety measures in partnership with the Ohio K-12 School Safety Grant Program. As a recent recipient of the grant, Lorain Bilingual Academy rolled out seven new safety features to increase student and staff security on campus including:
- Raptor Visitor Management System (visitor identification & screening system)
- Internal communication system
- Metal detectors
- Upgraded security cameras (interior & exterior)
- Upgraded Public Address system (PA system)
- Upgraded internal door locks with Bolo Stick lockdown barricade devices
- Upgraded exterior lighting
“Student and staff safety is the highest priority of Lorain Bilingual Academy,” said Head of School Jay Saez. “We appreciate receiving this grant from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission that enables us to offer a more safe and secure learning environment for our community.”
